PHP, which stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor", is an HTML-embedded scripting language. Much of its syntax is borrowed from C, Java and Perl with some unique features thrown in. The goal of the language is to allow Web developers to write dynamically generated pages quickly. As a server side application, like CGI, PHP’s processes take less time to execute than client side scripting languages like Java script.

Hosting Solutions is pleased to offer PHP4 to our hosting customers. Your server is configured to support your use of PHP. Since PHP is a scripting language we do not offer live technical support on the use of this product. Please see the links below to help you find out more about using PHP.

Hosting Solutions will be enabling all of its Linux servers to offer PHP4 for all levels of Web hosting accounts.

Important Technical Note: any file containing an embedded PHP script must be given a .php extension for it to work properly.
